Today New York City FC announce that MLS NEXT Pro affiliate New York City FC II will face New York Red Bulls II in Round 2 of the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30pm ET at Belson Stadium.
The ‘Boys in Blue’ advanced to the second round after an emphatic 3-0 road win against FC Motown in the first round of the tournament.
The cross-town rivals have faced each other three times in MLS NEXT Pro play last season with New York taking the season series with two wins, including one at home, and scoring six goals in three matches.
Tickets will go on-sale for our Round 2 U.S. Open Cup match vs. NYRB II on Tuesday, March 26th. All New York City FC City Members will have access to complimentary tickets for this match, up to the number of seats in their City Membership plan.
